The halfway point

Well what a ripping start to the 2 Points campaign it has been!

Had a great night at Howlong Golf Club, the raffle went gangbusters (thanks, Di and friends), and we met some great people.

On the first morning at Howlong  we had six riders.   It was the longest day but the conversation was elite. Did an impromptu event at the Henty Community Club which was great fun, and they went out of their way to make us welcome.  On to Wagga Wagga and meeting up again with Ned from Wellways, who had joined us for a little section out of Wagga Wagga on the 4 Points journey when we were travelling up to the Tip.  Did a live interview for the ABC Riverina.

Last night we did a talk and raffle at the Cootamundra RSL.  A good night.  Got the Courtesy Bus as it was raining cats and dogs!  A relief really as the temperatures have been in the mid 30s.  Wagga to Junee was a killer.

I think the best description is in these pictures. They say that a picture paints a thousand words, not sure ours do but…. We try!

The road ahead looks like this - in  Harden we’ve invited the Mayor to evening drinks at our campsite, don’t think it's a normal  Mayoral function, but he’ll get the flavour of our travels. In Yass, we are meeting the mayor and a Greens  councillor (an old friend from Ascot Vale). And then on the last riding day (Sunday), the Yass triathlon group the Pink Galahs  will be joining us for the ride, wicked fun!

How my body is feeling, the first two days were hard and hot but as Dave puts it -  I’m warming up to bum fitness.
